Startups get the WebsiteSpark

Good news for startups. Microsoft are launching WebsiteSpark in Ireland next week.

The Guinness Storehouse plays host next Tuesday, October the 20th, from 7:00PM as web designers, developers, students, freelancers and just about anyone gets a crack at Software Licences, resources and the support they need for growing a business.

What do you get:

  • 3 licenses of Visual Studio 2008 ProfessionalMicrosoft Web Platform
  • 1 license of Expression Studio 3 (including Blend, Sketchflow, Web & Encoder)
  • 2 licenses of Expression Web 3
  • 4 processor licenses of Windows Server 2008 R2 
  • 4 processor licenses for SQL Server 2008 Web Edition

  • Build websites (webapps) as a service for other people
  • Have less than 10 people?

Crayon Physics rules!

Our new favourite. Put away the Brain Training and take out the (virtual) crayons.  We wrote a  prior post on the rapid prototyping phenomenon in software development and the effective innovation guidelines they used. This is another simple and addictive game. There is no point explaining the objective because the little video does such a great job.

Petri has a new game in the works called  4minutes and 33 seconds of uniqueness which is the polar opposite of Crayon Physics – no interaction at all. That is exploration into new territory.
