Because Dr. Larry Sanger brought to the table the idea of implementing wiki architecture, named it &quot;Wikipedia&quot;, and guided most of the fundamental rules and guidelines of Wikipedia, at best Wales is considered (even according to Wikipedia) a &quot;co-founder&quot; of the project.</description>
